Line Tactics

Line tactics is one of the useful sections of tactics in OSM. It determines the mentality of your defenders, midfielders and forwards. In this section of Tactics you can set the mentality of your players to attacking, defensive or neutral.

There are three sections in Line Tactics.

  1. Forward: In this section, you can set the mentality of your forwards. You can set the mentality to–
    1. Drop Deep: If you set the mentality of your forwards to drop deep, they will go down of the pitch and help the defenders to defend. You can use Drop Deep while using defensive tactics.
    2. Support Midfield: If you set the mentality to Support Midfielders, they will go to the middle of the pitch and help the midfielders to create an attack. You can use this while using a Passing Game.
    3. Attack Only: Here, the forwards will only look forward to scoring a goal. Whenever they get the ball they will try to attack.
  2. Midfield: In this section, you can set the mentality of your midfielders. You can set the mentality to–
    1. Protect The Defense:If you set the mentality to Protect The Defense, they will go to the lower of the pitch and help the defenders to defend. You can use this while using a defensive tactic.
    2. Stay In Position: In this mentality , the midfielders will stay in position and create chances from the midfield.
    3. Push Forward: If you set the mentality of your midfielders to Push Forward, they will go up the pitch and try to score a goal. You can use this while using an attacking tactic.
  3. Defender: In this section, you can set the mentality of your defenders. You can set the mentality to–
    1. Defend Deep: Here, the defenders will defend deep and stay in their position.
    2. Support Midfield: In this section, the defenders will push forward and support the midfielders to create more chances. You can use this against a weaker opponent.
    3. Attacking Full-Backs: If you use this section, your fullbacks will go up the pitch and help the forwards. You should use this while using Wing Play.
