5-3-2 Counter Attack Formation to Beat Stronger Opponents
The 5-3-2 formation is a useful tactic to beat stronger opponents in the game of OSM 22/23. However, it's important to analyze the opponent's squad before using this formation, as it's not recommended if the opponent plays with--
- Passing Game
- Offside Trap
- Man-Marking.
Squad
You must put 2 strikers in front. If you only have one striker and a winger, you have to put the winger to his preferred side of the front and the striker to the other forward. You have to put an attacking midfielder in CAM position (sometimes higher rated CM can be played in this position). In the two CM positions, you can use two CM or one CM with a CDM with highly rated. You must put 3 CBs in three CB positions, a left back to LB position and a right back to RB position. You can use CB in LB or RB positions too. You must put our highest rated goalkeeper in GK position.

In this tactic, players will sit deep when the ball is with the opponent, and defend deeply to avoid conceding a goal. When they have the ball, they will try to move quickly and counter-attack, passing the ball to the waiting strikers who will then run towards the opponent's D-box to score. This tactic may not create many chances, but it has a higher conversion rate of goals scored.
